I loved Rome!
We spent a few days here and covered all of the major tourist attractions!
My favirote part was probably the sistine chapel. I have always wanted to see it and explore the history there. I also loved seeing the ancient history, and walking around teh city. We also went to see the Collesium, and the fountain! Kathlen and iI threw two coins in, insead of one. The mythis ist hat one coin will bring you back to rome soon, and two will mean you find true love. We both agreed that if we had to make it back to Rome on our trip, that might not be a good thing, because it will have meant somethign went wrong!
From Rome we went to visit Caroline in Florance. I liked Florance a lot better, because although the history was not as deep, and we did not do as many touristy things, Caroline knew all the local hotspots, gelato places, and her school was even full of oilve and lemon gardens! It was beautiful.
We took a day trip to Pisa to see the leaning tower. The town didnt have much except for the tower, but we couldnt miss out on the tourist opp!
Staing with Carolien was great, because we cooked traditional meals in her kitchen and could do laundry.
I got sick with a cold during this time, but it couldnt have fallen in a better time because I had real food, a good place to sleep, and my best friend!
I loved Italy, but was excited to head to Greece!
