Day 26 - Pai
We woke up at 12.30 feeling pretty rough! Lynsey was not in a good place at all so we left her to sleep it off and went for lunch. I got a burger and chips, had to avoid the Thai food at that time! When we came back we were sitting on the porch, Michael walked down onto the river. There is a sign on the doors saying beware of the dog biting people, and while Michael was down there a crazy looking dog appeared. Michael started walking back and the dog noticed him, so I shouted to warn Michael an the dog started running at him. It didn't bite but it wouldn't leave him alone and we both were really scared. Michael got back to the room with the dog following him and we closed the doors over. The dog just decided to go for a wee sleep right outside and we were trapped haha. We were all feeling pretty bad so had a wee afternoon nap in the hope that we felt better. It didn't really work, so we went for a late dinner and we all had three courses and then went back to our rooms to sleep. We pretty much wasted a day but it was worth it!
Day 27 - Pai
Today I woke up early and lay on the hammock chilling out until the others woke up. When they did, we went to go eat and figure out what we wanted to do today. So we chose somewhere to eat and ordered and got our maps out. We decides that the best idea was to hire mopeds and go to the hotsprings, which are 7km away. So we finished our lunch and went to go find somewhere to hire mopeds. On the way, we passed the bar we had been at the other night. The guys who own it were all excited to see us and said they were going to a swimming pool and we should come too. At first we thought that sounded rubbish and we'd rather go to the springs, but it was by far the hottest day so far so we were persuaded by the nice swimming pool. The guy had a pick up truck and he told us he could take us there, so we climbed in the back and sat in it on the way. When we got there we were all so chuffed, it was amazing. It was an infinity pool that looked over into rice fields that were completely surrounded by mountains - the view was something else. The pool was nice and warm and they had some good music on and brought us some cold beers. We chilled out for three hours, it's a hard life in Thailand! When we finally decided to leave due to being absolutely starving, we got back in the pick up truck - but that's a story for when we get home :P! So we decided that since the guys had been good to take us we should go to their place for dinner which turned out to be a bad move. It was double the price of everywhere else, we waited 45 mins for michaels meal, then about half an hour for the others, and the food was pretty terrible. So after that we went back to sit on our porch with a bottle of vodka and play ring of fire.
