Day 25 - Pai
We checked out of our room and went around the corner to a cafe for lunch then jumped in a taxi to the bus station. We bought our ticket to Pai and were shown to our 'bus' - which was just a mini van with no boot space for our rucksacks, thankfully it was only 3 hours. The drive there was really good. We were driving through the mountains and jungle so I enjoyed it! When we got to Pai it was pouring again, so I sat inside a cafe with all the bags while Michael went out to find somewhere for us to stay. He came back 15 minutes later very excited about the place he had found. It was a wee bungalow right on the river front, it has a wee porch with a hammock and the view is amazing! We had a quick wander around Pai which is really small but so cool. Then we went back to the bus stop - nic and Lynsey had got the later bus as there was something they still wanted to do in Chiang Mai. So we all got ready and went out for drinks and a bar crawl. We went to a steak house where we paid £2 each for mushroom soup with a hot roll and a steak with chips veg and peppercorn sauce. It was so good that Michael got two haha! Then we went to start off the bar crawl. We went into the first bar on the road which was very cool, all cushions and candles and shoes were banned - but it was expensive. So we had one drink and moved to the next bar. It was a reggae bar that were selling all drinks by two get one free, including buckets, and that had an amazing dj, so our bar crawl stopped there haha. We stayed until closing time then the dj told us he would take us to a party. So we walked with him to this place where there were lots of bar stalls and a big campfire in the middle of them all. It was amazing we loved it there. At 4.30 we decided to go home to bed!
