Jens' Travels
Today, we left Ullapool and went to Corrieshalloch Gorge, through which the River Droma flows. The gorge is quite impressive and there are magnificent views from the bridge going over it.
We then head down the coast to Sheildag, a quaint seaside village, before going down to Plockton, along Loch Carron, for lunch.
Before going to the Isle of Skye, we visited Eilean Donan Castle, a restored mediaeval castle. The castle is located at the junction of 3 lochs, Loch Alsh, Loch Long, and Loch Duich, and the surrounding landscape is quite scenic. There are also plenty of neat exhibits within the castle.
We then crossed over to the Isle of Skye. We stopped off at a viewpoint near the Cullin mountain range before making our way to the seaside town of Portree, where we'd be spending the next 2 nights. I took some time that evening to take in the scenic views of the bay at Portree.
