This morning, I went to the Vasa Museum, which houses the Vasa ship, a salvaged 17th century warship that sank ~1,300 metres into its maiden voyage. This morning, I made my way over to the island of Langholmen, where I rented a kayak for part of the day. The weather was spectacular and I got some nice views of the coast from a "duck's eye" view. This day, I made my way through Drottninggatan to Gamla Stan, the old town. I took a look through the Royal Palace, which houses some interesting displays and gives a history of the Swedish monarchy. I then went over to The Nobel Museum. It felt a bit redundant going there as if been to the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo a few days prior, but it was right along my path and, while also small, had some interesting exhibits and detailed the history and the Nobel prizes...

This day, I boarded my train to Stockholm and took in some views of the many lakes strewn about the land between Gothenburg and Stockholm. I was staying right downtown near Stockholm Central Station and decided to take a quick walk along Drottninggatan, the main pedestrian street in the area. Like the others I've mentioned, the street was lively and was lined with plenty of shops and cafes.
