Today we wandered down to the ferry terminal to catch the Big Bus Tour and specifically head over to Hong Kong Island. We caught the ferry then hopped on the bus to travel around the business centre of the island before getting onto The Peak tram and heading up to The Peak for views all over Hong Kong. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy so the photos were not great but the view continues to amaze.
From here we got onto a different leg of the bus trip to take us to the other side of the island to see the beach areas of Redemption Bay and Stanley Bay. We wandered through the Stanley markets and found a Chinese Restaurant to have lunch. We sat with three delightful schoolgirls, all 17 years of age and in their last year of school. From Stanley we headed to Aberdeen and went on a short sampan ride to look at the amazing floating restaurant and see the area where the boat dwellers live.
After all this traveling around we finally got back to Kowloon and began the slow, uphill walk back to the Stamford Hillview Hotel. Tomorrow we move closer to the ferry terminal to stay at The Langham for our last night in Hong Kong.
