On Wednesday morning we moved to The Langham Hotel for our last night on this trip. We went to the China ferry terminal to see about going to Macau and had lunch in a restaurant just near there - eating with many of the local business people. The weather has been a bit unsettled, heavy rain last night as we went out for dinner, showery this morning but sunny this afternoon. Luckily when we went out to see the Festival of Lights - a laser light show fromany of the Hong Kong buildings - the sky was clear. This light show is set to music and is wonderful to see. Almost as wonderful is watching the boat traffic as it moves amongst one another as the light show entertains.
Today we caught the ferry over to Macau. When you arrive at the ferry terminal there are buses lined up from
Every casino to transport you there. We went to The Venetian - nowhere near as nice as the Las Vegas one - played and lost for a short while then went into an exhibition of ice sculptures. There were some interesting ones to see but it all had a very Asian flavor. Speaking of Asian flavor - we did eat some yummy egg tarts too!
After all of this it was back on the ferry and once back in Kowloon we cashed in our Octopus cards, finished up in the hotel and after I upload this we'll make our way to the airport for our flight home. We've had a great six weeks but it will be nice to get home again.
