We got into Mission Beach really late on the 27th May. The following day we got the bus from our hostel to Mission Beach. We had a walk along the beach and then a look round the shops in the area (there are only about 5). We then sat in a nice cafe and had something to eat before heading back to our hostel. There was nothing round about the hostel and therefore not much to do at night time. We ended up playing monopoly in the hostel with two other couples. ...

On the 26th we headed from Airlie Beach to Townsville and caught the ferry over to Magnetic Island. We stayed at Kaola sanctuary. We had the morning at the sanctuary the following morning and went on the guided tour. There were twelve of us in the group and we got to hold a crocodile, cockatoo, snake and lizard. We arrived into Airlie Beach on the 22nd at around 7am and could not check into our room until 1pm. So we dropped our bags off and headed to the lagoon area and sunbathed there. In the afternoon we checked in and went to the office to confirm our sailing trip for the following day. On the 20th we headed from Rainbow Beach to a small town called 1770 and got in really late at night. This was to break up the journey mainly. A guy from the Fraser Island trip decided to come with us so that would nice to have extra company. On the 21st we had a full day in 1770 and decided to spend it by the pool realxing before our overnight bus to Airlie Beach.

We headed from Noosa to Rainbow Beach on the 16th of May and sunbathed on the beach that afternoon. We then met our group for our Fraser Island encounter and went shopping as a group for the supplies we would need over the next three days and two nights.
