On the 9th we took a bus from Melaka to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We had the afternoon free and we decided that the group would go and visit the Batu Caves just outside the city. Its 272 steps to the top and I was knackered when we got there, lol. The Caves are often used to hold events where some of the local men can show off how strong they are, and fights take place. Was cool inside with some apintings done on the walls. There were also some monkeys hanging about which I thought was sweet. When we got back into the city centre we had a look round the cities Central Market which is an indoor market that spills out onto the street. It was close to our hotel which was in Chinatown.
The following day we went to the Petronas Towers in the morning (pictured). We decided not to go up them, but got to see them and had a coffee in the mall that is in between them on the ground. From there we went to the KL Tower and went up it. It has a fantastic panoramic view over the city. It is also much taller than the towers we had visited in Australia and New Zealand. We then headed to the shopping area in KL. We visited a mall which has a rollercoaster inside it. Overall, Grant and I were not that impressed with KL.
