Time to come home to Byford day. It was also meant to be our Skydive day but we received the expected phone call from the airfield to say that the cloud base was too low and the wind too gusty. However we have re- arranged it for Easter Sunday up here in Perth with the drop being onto Rottnest Island, a beautiful nature reserve Island about 4 miles off Perth/Freemantle and smaller than Hayling Island. So still to look forward to weather Permitting.
On the way home we stopped off at Bussleton, where we were supposed to have landed on the beach to take a look. A very clean shaven resort style of town on the coast famous for its nearly 2km long jetty out to sea.
We then drove a further 2 hours to the Serpentine National Park and Falls where we came face to face with Joey. The Western Grey Kangaroo. Joey was wild but friendly so we were able to touch and take pictures.
After viewing the falls we returned to Jen and Checkez house to unpack before going up to the Tavern for Dinner. The Pub is just up the road, which in Aussie means at least 1km. Meals were substantial and priced similar to Uk Pub food. A great trip to the Aussie South West was complete.
