Stayed in for the morning bar a short walk to local shops to get some supplies and get our bearings. Staying opposite a lovely little park across which lies the Uni campus of Swinburne Uni and Glenferrie Station plus a superb outdoor 50m pool and leisure centre including gym etc. We decided to get the train to meet up with the Melbourne based family at Dales pad. It is very easy to get around with a simple travel card that is easily topped up. It covers trains, buses and the amazing tram system. 10 min train ride into Richmond and change to train to Carnegie, less than 30 mins followed by a pleasant walk down through Carnegie suburbs to Dales House. A very enjoyable afternoon and excellent lunch and wine and catchup with family - Margaret & Carl, Edith, Don and Marilyn, Dale and his 2 sons, Oscar and Spencer.
Finally caught the train back at around 6.30pm.
