Buenos tardes!!
Well Bolivia´s come to an end already.. can´t believe it! After constantly moving our stuff every night from place to place.. the few days we spent in Sucre were really appreciated! On our main full day there we went horse riding in the surrounding area which was brill. My horse was called Comancho and a total legend. It did everything you told it to, tho the other horses werent such big fans and Sullys was proper agitating it by trying to bite it.. they had to be separated, i reckon mine was wolves and hers albion ie. retarded haha. We rode them for a good 4 hours so by the end i´d actually been into a little bit of a gallop wooo pro. bum bloody wrecked afterwards tho!
AFter this we went for a meal and night out in the same place as last time, called JoyRide. I can officially say my appetite is back with avengence!! opened with Tapas starter, then lasagne and ceasar salad and really took a lot of willpower to resist the crepes.. fit! we then went to dance upstairs and at the end when there was me barns jo cariljin jorge and hose we decided to hardcore it to another place where we were clearly the only non bolivians there lol. probably the first proper night out we´ve had.. it defo wouldve resembled a blasoffesque mess if it hadnt ended in the takeaway womens look of utter bemusement at the prospect of a chip butty "papas fritas EN PAN!!!" and jorge and hose having to get out to push our taxi back when it couldnt get up a hill haha.
our flight from sucre was delayed by several hours when we arrived, the plane we were suppossed to get was actually at the airport, but it had to fly to la paz and back before it could take us ahhh but we´re quite used to this now, dont think anythings been on time, so what other option did we have than to go back to JoyRide for another meal haha. we finally got to santa cruz about 6ish, it was only a half hour flight. a few of us went out to look round the shops when we got there while others napped and i bought some black havaiana flip flops with little brazialian flags on them in prep!
The next day was also a major breakthrough!!! Despite it being a sunday so there not being much to do....... we found.... a BURGER KING!!! its suprising that there havent been any of these or macdonalds or anything so everyone was gagging for one (especially me since our night out when barn had planted the idea in my head and our desperate attempts with the taxi "vamos a mcdonalds!" had proved futile!). not much else to report from today, my trainer shopping to make up for the lost walking shoes hasnt been sucessful, nothing can replace those beauties!!
In a few hours we´re getting an overnight train into Brazil.. first stop is the pantanal wetlands where we´re sleeping in hammocks for 2 nights.. so there probably wont be another blog entry for about a year while i try and catch up on that sleep!!
Lots of love to everyone
Hasta pronto xxx
