After breakky which was pancakes with all the extras, fruit salad and yoghurt and cereal we headed to Tongue Bay. We hiked up the trail to get to Whitehaven beach which was beautiful, although we just had rain, but we did get 20minutes of sun so we got a glimpse of how incredible it would be. We still enjoyed it and due to the sand being 98% silica I washed my ring and it's now sparkly. Mum and I also scrubbed our feet and we now have beautifully soft feet. We found out that the aboriginals use to leave their young teenage sons to become a man then they would come back when they were 18/19 and test them to see if they were men. If they proved themselves they had 2scars on each side of their abdomen.
After 2hours on the beach, we then headed to the hill inlet which is an old aboriginal trail. Which has a cave at the top with amazing cave paintings inside. In the early evening Andrea and I went kayaking around our little bay to come back to the boat where everyone was feeding wild cockatoos off the boat. So I joined in feeding them some nuts. They were so beautiful and so gentle taking the nuts from your hand, so amazing as they were completely wild. We then saw a pair of sea eagles flying above us hunting for fish, successfully I might add which was an incredible sight to see. For our sunset snack we had some amazing Tacos that Lucy had cooked us. We then had dinner and a lovely evening chatting away for hours. Perfect day :)
