Ah Florence. A fun little artsy town! Yesterday after I posted I went back to my room for an afternoon siesta and ended up meeting some English girls who are here on "holiday" I tagged along with them to dinner after chatting for a bit and then ended back at the Fiddelers Elbow the Irish bar I went to the night before. We were already a bit tibsy from the cheap liters of wine from dinner, and proceeded to continue to drink when we got there. Some Italian men bought us roses from the street vendor and then tried to convince us in Italian to follow them to another bar. No thanks. Then some other Italian guys that watched this whole thing came over once the other ones gave up and left and started talking to us. They were actually really nice. We talked and drank till 1:30am and then tried to convince us to skip cerfew and go back to their house with them... No thanks. :) I did give one of them my email. Victoria and I stopped to find a bathroom (THANK GOD for being a girl sometimes and people are nice to you) and ran back to the ho stel after getting lost walking in at EXACTLY 2am. whew! Managed to get into PJs and head to bed (not exactly quietly...) oops! Today I am off to see the statue of david and some other musemes, then packing and heading out early tomorrow to meet up with Evann in Venice! Weeeeee... The next week or so is going to be REALLY interesting with all the train riding and such.... at least most of it wont be in Italy! Stupid Italian trains!
