Ciao from Venice...

Last time I left you we had just met our topdeck bus and were heading to Venice. This was the first bus trip on tour.. I drew the short straw and sat next to shifty haha straight asleep as per usual... we wake up for lunch and a few other things like hearing the Valerie song.. Our bus is called Valarie and every time we get going they play Amy Winehouse's Valery.. There's also a song all the party people or something.. Not sure on that one but that gets played as well.. We get to Venice and have dinner right away.. After dinner its drinks listening to a Italian band sing bon jovi, acdc and others.. When he didn't know the words he pulled a Sarah and I and would just mumble the songs... rather amusing.. The lead singer and guitarist would run around the grounds and climb on to roofs.. Very random and very crazy.. After the band finished we sat around and listened to the dj and then the dj finished and the bar closed and some guys that were doing busabout bought a box of booze before the bar closed so we sat up with them and drank.. They were also from Victoria. I called it quits around 2am.

Day 2- We head into Venice city after breakfast.. We did a short walking tour into St Mark's Square and then a gondola ride through the canals.. After this it was free time and we went and had some lunch then explored Venice.. Venice is beautiful, all the canals winding through the city, with beautiful buildings and market stalls. We saw the rialto bridge, looked through the markets and then realised we had 40 minutes to get to the other side of Venice... we started the biggest power walk in 35 degree heat powering through the city.. We make it to meet the group and bus with about 10 minutes to spare.. How we found our way winding through the streets of Venice is beyond me!

We get back to the camping grounds hot and bothered and jump in the pool relaxing for a few hours before dinner and the toga party. Dinner tonight was amazing!!!! we had pesto chicken and the yummiest potatoes it was delicious and still days after clearly still makes my mouth water and I didn't even mention the make your own sundae dessert yum yum yum! After dinner was the toga party.. We got given massive sheets and had the fun task of trying to turn it into an outfit... not so fun. After about 40 different attempts finally Elley the slight genius that she is comes up with a solution.. We chuck some tree branches in our hair and head to the pool bar. There were 3 topdeck tours and a busabout tour all at these camping grounds this night and everyone got crazy drunk and danced under sprinklers and jumped in the pool.. Elley and I called it a night at about 1am as we had an earlish start the next day as we were heading to Croatia!!!!!
