Hello... I bet your excited mum... another blog so quickly hehe. We actually have internet, which is so thrilling I am practiacally wetting myself, so thought I would write a quick sum up of today, as it has been rather funny!
After calling you up (at this point I would like to publically announce how proud I am of my little brother for doing SO well in his modules... it puts me to shame!), we got on in are little car and tottered off to Bikaner. Only 4 hours this time... so not too bad, and it did prove a rather eventful journey.
For starters we got gridlocked. Apparently the way Indians handle gridlock is to beep. Alot. And not stop. Its like 'Umm... we can quite clearly see you are there mate, so what is the point really!?'. Our driver had a mild epi. In the mean time Sara had a bus about 2 inches from her window and I had an old lady banging on mine as she had a broken arm and wanted money. Now this will sound heartless, but after a week of bonbardment I just have no sympathy. Well I do... its just I was stuck in a gridlock with cars beeping, no water, no AC and the fumes were making me dizzy!!! Anyway, me and Amos ended up laughing at the situation... I dont kno if it was a result of the fumes, or our mild insanity as a result of this trip...
Then the craziness continued. Our driver got out to get a drink, and offered to get us some beer. We thanked him and took up the offer, thinking a beer for us both would be nice. What we did not anticipate was that he was joining us. So when he peered around and asked me to open his I was a little shocked.... as if driving out here is not crazy enough, but drinking 'Herveys XXX' is not gonna make it any more safe!!
Anyway, we eventually arrived in Bikaner and took a cheeky walk down to another hotel that was pretty. I swear we were both a tad tipsy and the smiles could not be wiped off our faces. I think thats how we should deal with stress. Sorry mum if I return an alcoholic but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Tomorrow we are going on a CAMEL SAFARI!!!! I am so excited I may wet myself even more. Anyway, love to you all and keep the messages coming! Also, mummy hope that the preparations for you interview are going well... I know that you are gonna do brilliant.
xxxxxxxx
