So here I am, in Heathrow, en route to my gap year travels. With "Sunchyme" playing in my ears and a touch of whiskey on my tongue from Edinburgh airport's taster station, it's safe to say it all feels rather surreal.
Unfortunately the combination of my choice of clothing (the hat doesn't help) and having a back pack on both my front and back has left me looking like a pregnant ladybird who has lost their way from a green peace protest of the 60s... As you can imagine I fitted in really well with all the business men on my BMI flight to London.
My flight to Nairobi is at 9 this evening and then from Kenya I have my connection to Uganda. I will be arriving mid afternoon in Entebbe for my night's stay in a nice hotel WITH swimming pool (wooo) prior to heading to the capital city Kampala for my 8 HOUR bus journey to the refugee camp... Where I have been warned there perhaps won't be a swimming pool on my accommodation terrace....
Here goes...!
