It’s a Sunday afternoon, sitting on my couch in my apartment in Ottawa. As I’m browsing through thousands of movies on Netflix, I stumbled upon The Good Lie. It is a film about young Sudanese refugees given the chance to resettle in the States. I watched it; Yes, I cried a little. It's a replica of my life. It made me remember the time when I was in Kyaka II Refugee Camp, in Uganda. I googled Kyaka II to see what I can find. Google led me to your blog Jessica. Thanks for taking me back. I grew up on those streets of Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, in Bukere. I went to Bukere Primary School. I remember very well your photo of Bukere Primary School as if it was yesterday when I was there. I also recall one of your students Julie; she was my friend, we both attended Bukere Primary School. ~Thanks for Sharing~
