Just a quick update... Georgie and I have just touched down on nanyuki airstrip where we are enjoying pancakes whilst overlooking mount Kenya. We stayed overnight in Nairobi in the dog-filled house of Tamsin (the lady who runs sabuk lodge where we are going to be staying) where we had a power cut... Which conveniently plunged us into darkness just after we had emptied the contents of our bags to try and rearrange our luggage to comply with the 15kg weight limit for our flight today. So we repacked by candlelight before heading to the most enormous bed for a very comfortable night's sleep. This morning we had a very early start in an attempt to dodge nairobi's traffic so as we could make our flight. We flew in a tiny plane which we had to ourselves... I could get used to this...! Now we're just waiting for Verity who will be taking us to the game reserve where we will be working for the next two weeks. Can't wait! JH-J
