After a half hour taxi ride we made it to the main island and onto our shuttle to the boarder if Costa Rica! Thank god Colton is feeling good enough to travel a bit today! :) Hopefully by tomorrow he'll be back feeling good again!
The boarder from Panama to Costa Rica is very basic! You walk up to a window on a small building, give them your passport which they check to se if you have the stamp saying you entered Panama legally, then they stamp it again saying you've left and that's it! Then you walk across a crazy old bridge and when you get to land on the other side your in Costa Rica. The bridge is old I didn't think we would make it across without breaking through. The metal is so thin you have to literally step over the holes that have rusted through!
When we made it across safely we got onto another shuttle and went about an hour to puerto Viejo, a small town on the Caribbean coast. We found a beautiful hostel, and went for some Indonesian peanut curry and smoothies, then hit the local markets! :)
