Hello everybody, just a quickish one to let you know how we're doing so far (because we're going for a bbq at the hostel and then to bed cos we're so tired!)

We had a very smooth sailing flight yesterday once we got to the airport. We had a bit of a disaster on the way because the zip on Gemmas bag broke and she had to make a mad dash back to Nomad to change it! Anyway 15 hours on a plane later and here we are in Buenos Aires. We've had such a busy day because we're only here for 2 and a half days so we're attempting to fit in as much as possible. We set off straight away once we'd checked into the hostel (which is lovely by the way) and walked practically the entire city. We've seen all the busy avenidas (all pedestrians must fear for their lives!) and all the plazas, and the metropolitan cathedral, library, and the docks, and discovered the subways, which apparently are ok but the line we got on was wooden and un-signposted! Felt like we'd gone back a hundred years!!
