Well, we've come to the end of our Lares Trek and Machu Picchu visit, which was definitely a major highlight and one of the most important trips on our itinerary. Arrived in Cuzco on Saturday and we're very impressed, it's a lovely city. Sadly our hotel isn't as good though, single beds, what's all that about? What a few days! The bus journey to Puno was an absolute breeze, six measley hours, do they not know we're hardcore 22 hourers? It was strange though because 3 hours in we all had to get off the bus and get a boat across Lake Titikaka (the largest, highest navigable lake in the world) because it would have taken 4 hours to drive around the edge but only half an hour to cross it.
