So we woke up to the customary heat of Thailand. We had a walk around to see what Koh Tao was all about. It holds a very chilled atmosphere and the main tourist visitors are of a conservation, almost hippy like mentality which was very much welcomed since our busy time on Koh Samui and Koh Pan Yang. We stumbled across Sai Ree beach which is absolutely stunning. White sand, clear blue water, fishing boats in the distance and large hills hanging over the beach. We went to Simple Life dive centre to enrol on an open water padi diving coarse and got told to come back later to start the coarse. It cost 8600baht each which is like £160 an absolute bargain. We wasted some time on the beach, swimming in the warm water and then headed back to the centre to take our first exams and learn what diving is all about. Intro over and we can wait to start exploring the depths of the ocean. I'm fairly confident but can't help but think Isla is slightly apprehensive. Only time will tell......
But of a chill day today, not very busy so got dinner from a street vendor again and shared it on the beach before heading back to our hostel.
