While Sal was doing her home stay visit Vic and Jen headed into the mountains! It took about 6 hours to arrive but it was worth it. We made friends with a group of other travellers on the bus and decided to all stay in the same hotel. That night we all headed into the town for some food and drinks-local rum and Dalat wine! Had a really good night and the drinks flowed until the early hours!

The next moring a few of us had arranged to climb up Lang Baing Mountain, the trek was quite tough and even harder as we all had a hangover! It was soon apparent that we were struggling to keep up with the rest of the group so they trekked on ahead and we were left to make our own way up to the top...at our own pace! It was a great feeling to make it to the top and the views were amazing! Shortly after the heavens opened and we had to trek all the way back down in the rain. We were exhausted and spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping!

Next day vic left and Jen spent the day riding round on the back of a motorbike with a couple of the others! We got taken to a couple of waterfalls that were truely hidden away and we had to trek through jungle and climb over rocks and all sorts to get to see them. Elephant waterfall was pretty impressive to see though and was worth all the hard work!

Had a really nice time there and would recommend a short visit to anyone!
