Hi Sal. We're just been in the Southern Hemisphere too - S.America, Antarctica and Cape Town. Amazing, awesome, unforgettable. Nanny tells me you should be in NZ now. Hope to hear all about it as it's on our list. You will have so many memories. I wonder if you will be able to choose THE MOST MAGIC MOMENT of all??!! Your very favourite place/country/city? There's a challenge. Happy birthday for the 24th, enjoy the final leg of your journey and safe trip back to the UK. Love Jan and Dave xx

Hi Sal. Visited Nan yesterday and she says you should now be in OZ. Oh the nostalgia!! Quite the most wonderful place to be. GIVE IT OUR LOVE AND KISS THE GROUND. Do hope you can make it across to Perth. Most people miss it out which is such a shame as it's fantastic. Fremantle - Freo to locals is the place to go and Kaley's on the harbour for the best fish and chips in the world. Hope you can get to Ayres Rock too - an out of this world experience for sunrise or sunset - preferably both. Unforgettable. We're now on countdown to Antarctica - leave Feb 4 so you may be in the States when we return in March. Give that our love too. What an amazing journey you're having. Rupert and Craig may be going to Chicago for 18 months. Rupert's been offered a job there. More holiday opportunities for us. This is your life Sal and your unforgettable journey. Enjoy. We're with you in OZ - in our dreams!! Take good care. Lots of love. xxx

Hi everyone,
Thank you very much for all the presents, cards and messages over Christmas and New Year. It felt very strange not being at home but we had a great time. We've just spent the last few days in Singapore and are about to leave for the airport to get our flight to Sydney! We were very sad to leave Thailand but had the best 2 weeks with Dan, Lee J, Mark, Kelly & Justin.
Feels very strange to be leaving Asia after 8 months but we're ready for the next stage of our trip.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We will update the blog once we're in Oz.
See you down under! Lots of love xxxx

Hi Sal - Happy New Year. Hope it's a good one for you. Haven't caught up with your recent travels as we've had a hectic, lovely time with a full house since Dec 22 but only Dave and me here now. Will catch up with you wherever you are soon and rejoin your trip. Lots of love and take good care. Jan xx

Hi Sal and congratulations on your diving qualification. How awesome it all looks under that water. Dave does it but I can only do it in short bursts as I've a tendency to hold my breath even with the breathing apparatus - but I know how terrific it is to see all that life underwater and to swim amongst the coral and exotic fishes - and once with a blue -spotted stingray!! Just take good care. In OZ we walked on dog fish - desperate need to cool off in amazingly high temperatures and only later saw the danger signs! Do have a Christmas to remember and to put in your book of souvenirs. We'll have a good one in our lovely Watchet - family and friends all joining over the next 2 weeks. We'll rejoin you early in 2009 when we'll be prepping for our Antarctica expedition. Chris from France sends her love too. All love from us, Rupert and Craig. Christmas kisses for you. Jan xxxx
