We spent a very tired few days sightseeing in Singapore. We were both very sad to leave Thailand but now eager to get to Australia to meet up with friends we'd met in Asia.

We went on the very cheesy Duck Tours, a boat cum bus that took us round the city (that mainly comprised of shopping malls!). It seemed exceptionally clean! We went for a Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel one evening which was very nice.

We stayed in our first hostel dorm since Vietnam in preparation for Oz...YMCA, shared dorm, top bunk...20 pounds each a night!!

The last 8 months in Asia have been absolutely fantastic. It has been hard going at times adapting to the different ways of life and missing home but on the whole we have loved it! We have met so many great people along the way and have memories that we will definitely remember forever. We're glad for the few occasions/places/experiences we haven't enjoyed to appreciate the ones we've loved. It is so mad to think we've been in the Taj Mahal, we've walked along the Great Wall of China, we've seen so many amazing wild animals and beautiful sceneries...we know just how lucky we are; it's been unreal.
