Two very tired travellers this morning- think the past few busy weeks are catching up with us. Had breakfast (not much selection compared to other places) and then headed to Lake Thun. So beautiful and peaceful. We hired a pedalo and were quite ambitious with how far we thought we could go. When we got back we said to the man we hired them from where we were trying to get to and he told us it would take. 2 days to get to where we wanted- he must have got confused!!! We grabbed some pizza at a nearby restaurant and ate it by the lake then headed back to the centre to catch our bus to take us paragliding! Mini bus picked us up and we met an Australian traveller. She had done all sorts of crazy things so it made us feel slightly tame! Met the instructors and found out I had a Swiss guy and Ellie had an Australian instructor (which she loved)! The drive up was fairly daunting as we were going very high. Instructors did make us feel at ease though and had some music going. When we stopped we had a short 5 minute hike to to the take off spot and got all of the gear attached and set up. After a few selfies on their cameras and a quick instruction chat we were off! Seeing Ellie fly off first definitely calmed any nerves I had. The flight was amazing! We were both on cloud 9 (literally) and had a blast. We were up in the air for about 10 minutes but it seemed longer than that which was good. Before we both landed we do some spins and tricks in the air which were so much fun- we even had to hold the camera which we were worried we might drop! When we landed we headed to the hostel to get changed and then grabbed our swim suits and some food from super market and headed back to the lake to have a picnic in the afternoon sunshine. Unfortunately we didn't realise the last bus back to the centre was in just over an hour but we had enough time to have a bit of food, drink and a swim in the freezing (but incredibly clean) lake. When we got back to the hostel we met some other travellers and played Uno (with alcohol of course). Time flew by and we were soon downstairs drinking and socialising with other travellers in the Metro Bar below the hostel. We started to flag big time so headed to bed about midnight- very busy but fun day!!!
