We were extremely tired this morning and both slept through until 9am!! We decided to go and find the Rialto Bridge which was very busy. We had heard that it was going to rain pretty hard early in the afternoon so decided to go and visit the Lido for the beach as soon as possible before the weather turned. Got over there by boat (we are loving the water bus transport) and laid on the beach and had a small nap. When we woke it was very windy and cloudy so we decided to head back to the main square before the weather worsened. We were feeling hungry so decided to have some lunch near the Rialto Bridge. Rain started so we had to choose quickly but was only spitting so we sat outside. Give minutes later and (yes you've guessed it) it started rolling down torrentially. We had to ask for a table inside instead. As everyone did the same thing it felt rather claustrophobic and warm so we ended up leaving to find another restaurant and luckily the rain had stopped. Had a rather late lunch then headed back to the hotel to have a nap and to freshen up ready to go out for some drinks. Was late when we left the hotel so found a lovely restaurant by the Grand Canal and had a couple of glasses of prosecco as well as sharing a pizza (we totally got the munchies)! Then we navigated our way to the Hilton to the roof top bar and had another glass of prosecco up there with lovely views out to Venice across the water. We literally had to prize ourselves from the seats when we had to leave as we love Venice so much and don't want to go anywhere!!!! Ciao Venice!
