Funny day really as didn't feel we did very much! Decided to get on the bus as was quicker than most trains and easier as was a straight run so had a relaxing morning packing etc in Prague. Got the 10:15 train which ended up arriving a little late in Munich at about 3:30. Obviously we were sat behind the man who was constantly talking on his phone!! Was hot and sunny and we found the hostel eventually (stupid directions) and checked in. Had our first minor gripe with a room as our window was broken! It did not shut at the top so all the flies were coming in and it had a huge x taped on in masking tape as well as masking tape down the side!! We went and told the reception and they changed our room thankfully so are now in a 4 bed dorm but just 2 of us-more space, excellent! We then tried to navigate our way to Marienplatz, the main shopping way in Munich to find a restaurant- no where to be seen! You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find somewhere! There was a protest going on with lots of police too which was a bit odd. It started to tip down with rai so ended up in Pizza Hut (I know, all the way to Germany and eat in Pizza Hut)!! There was a homeless man coming into the restaurant asking people for food- money and none of the waiters told him to leave- was very odd. After that we went back to the hostel to have a drink in the bar. The bar man told us lots of hints and tips and places to visit and served us a gorgeous beer!!! We met a Canadian guy too who told us about his travels. Want an early start tomorrow to make the most of the day as we haven't been here for long so far- praying it's sunny!!!!
