Jen's Journeys
Day three in Ireland has been incredibly relaxed. Which is probably good after hen and stag night in the Vegas of Ireland! We had breakfast at 9 am back in Kilkenny. Got to talk with our hosts a little more, and unfortunately, with a borderline ugly american tourist from LA. She just couldn't believe there were Midwesterners traveling. Um, bite me, lady. We travel A LOT. But anyway, we got packed up, and actually found out from our hosts that they recommend that tourists take all the hubcaps off their rental cars because they pop off so much. They recommended we just find someone in the last day or so to put them all back on. So, Tom went out and removed our remaining three. We now have four hubcaps in the "boot" of our car!!! We then headed out for a more than two hour drive to our next stop. Now, we thought we were staying in Cork. Well, county cork, yes. The city of cork, no. Turns out we were headed to Kinsale, on the southern coast. But, not quite. We got to Kinsale, and then drove through it and about 5 miles later got to our B&B. GORGEOUS views. The town was super busy traffic wise and parking looked horrendous. So we just decided that we weren't going back. Rested here for a little, headed out for a late lunch to a different nearby town, hit a grocery store for some wine, cheese and bread, and came back. Took a walk down our country road, and then opened our provisions and played cards. It was actually a really lovely night. Tomorrow we will be headed to the Killarney area for two nights. So, it's time to plan our route!
