I'M IN THE NEW LAND OF ZEAL PEOPLE!! That's new Zealand to the sane ones amongst you but I'm here! I survived this far mum I'm pretty sure you can stop worrying now... No?! Didn't think so!
So, on friday me and alice left the hostel about 4am ready for our entire day of flying ahead of us :( I definitly had the better deal though, she was going all the way to new York whereas I only had a few hours to aukland! We both however had the same flight to Sydney that morning which was kinda cool because after travelling so long with her, it was the only thing left that we hadn't done together, colonics included if you remember!! When we got to Sydney we did some shopping, and Alice finally bought the damn boomerang she had been after for about a week now (I might like to add the one she bought was basically identical to the first one she found back in cairns! :p) and then it was time for the final goodbye... Now we had doe this before, infact we were seasoned pro's at it, I mean our goodbye in Thailand even made the flight attendants feel slightly awkward! But this time we knew there would be no more chance meetings along our jouneys since we were going completly seperate ways now, so it was a little more serious for us both, and a lot more dramatic thanks to me :p where most people would wave and maybe shed a tear or two as she walked through the gate, I did as so many greats have done before me - I sang 'goodbye' by the spice girls at the top of my voice... I think she appriciated it, hell I think security appriciated it!
I got to aukland eventually around 8pm and found my way to nomads hostel which was supposidly very nice and appeared to be so, but unfortuantly I didn't get the chance to wonder round since about 5 minutes after I got to my bed, I promptly fell asleep. Much to the dismay of my part hard room mates. I'm so cool. The next day was really just a chill out time for me to sort my life out so I woke up around half eleven when the cleaning guy came in and had a nice old chat with my whilst sorting out the beds and then slowly made my way up and down the main streets of aukland doing a bit of shopping. Now I love shopping, but oh my god aukland is dull!! And that makes the shopping dull! Don't get me wrong I still managed to buy s*** and I did spend most of the day shamlessly wandering the inner workings of the book shops (I do love bookshops :p) and came out with about 8 books :p but still, aukland bores me, in general as a city it has very little character compared to others I've been to, but hey I'm only here today after all...
Wrong. Kiwi experience couldn't pick me up till Monday so I had all of Sunday to piss away as well, parden my French, so I ended up parked in front of a global gossip computer for the day with a cheese scone by my side and caught up with this glorious record of my wonderful adventure... Yeaaahh I'm kinda done with aukland incase you hadn't noticed :p bring on the kiwi bus!
