Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years and 2010 has got off to a good start.

As planned we spent Christmas day at Sunburnt on bondi beach but in fact it was raining and cold and it was in Bondi Pavillions, not on the beach at all. It took us a while to get going that day following an amazing night out Christmas eve with all of our friends there to welcome in Christmas day!! But finally we got into the swing of things and partied the day away. Lunch was dissappointing, for all those oput there jealous of me in the sun and warmth at least you got a roast Christmas day, we had ... a bit of cold turkey and ham, cranberry sauce for a festive touch, potatoe/pasta salad and a dry bread roll!! Rip off!! With no jobs to go to we continued to enjoy ourselves through to New year spending NYE in the Botanic gardens before watching fireworks over the harbour. SInce then I've been stressing about money and on a serious job hunt. Fortunately Monday proved a good day, a cafe on Bondi front (Gelato bar) rang to offer me a trial and I've been working there ever since. Money's not as good as Nosh but as it's cash there's no tax and yesterday at least I made good tips!! Hopefully that will hold out until March when I plan to head up the East coast .. might even look into a campervan for that (not a prat mobile like yours parentals) and then find some more work either fruit picking in order to extend my visa or just in another city!!

I hope to make the most of this job, the money and my days off by doing everything I want to and can do in SYdney - climbing Harbour bridge, visiting the Blue Mountains and Palm beach etc.
