So I've spent the last week freezing in South Australia and Victoria. On Friday Wednesday night I arrived in Melbourne and was met by Chris (Thailand) at the station. She very kindly showed me to my hostel in St Kilda and then we grabbed a bite and a couple of beers whilst catching up. On Thursday I wandered the city by myself taking in the sites and seeing what there is to see. On Friday I was booked on to another day tour to see the Great Ocean Road. Although it wasn't warm the sun was shining and I spent the day with another great group of people being touristy! On Saturday I again wandered the city this time visiting Queen Victoria market, one of the cheapest places to shop for fresh produce and with such a range! And then explored St Kilda beach late afternoon. That night we wandered along Southbank watching the gas fire lamps and having a beer by the river. On Sunday I walked along the river this time in the other direction past the sports stadium and where the Olympics was held. That afternoon I met up with Chris and her boyfriend Joe for some more fun wine times. Yesterday I spent the morning in bed not feeling so clever before heading off on the Neighbours bus to Erinsborough/Ramsey street .. or so called! We met Doc Karl Kenedy, took the usual cheesy photos then headed back into the city before getting too wet. Lastnight was the infamous Neighbours night with a quiz, competitions .. Paul Robinson, Donna and other stars!! I met some people there and we tried our best to see if we could win anything in the quiz .. very unsuccessful but a good laugh! Today I fly to Bali and am hopping to top up my tan on the beaches there. Will be a late night but will hopefully be great waking up in the sun and warmth tomorrow! Home in just over 2 weeks!!
