We had a very relaxing day yesterday but unfortunately the weather turned and we had plenty of rain although still warm.
Ray did some fishing and managed to catch "crabs" the blue variety. Never have I seen Ray so excited to get crabs! A young lad on the beach came running over to control the crab. No probs to him he just stood on the claws with his flipflops on and grabbed the body. He was even more pleased when Ray said he could have it as they are good eating apparently.
We are in Albany now and have driven just under 500 kms today. We visited Margaret River first, which is a small town, but the centre of a huge winery area. We travelled through miles and miles of grape vines.
We then moved onto Cape Leeuwin which is where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet and houses the tallest working lighthouse in Australia.
Next we went to Pemberton which is a big timber area and the road took us through 100s of kms of Karri Trees. They grow up to 200 ft high. Very picturesque. It's amazing how the scenery keeps changing and we keep thinking we are in other parts of the world we have been to.
We are really tired tonight so it's dinner, bottle of wine and bed for us.
