We are currently on a whooping 10 hour overnight bus ride to New York... and the bus has wireless! How cool is that. I have to keep myself occupied as Tara is already dozing off!
So the second half of our stay in Toronto has been lots of fun and relaxing. Can't say enough how great the Lester family has been, so hospitable and have really taken care of us. Plus they're Greek so the noise level made us feel right at home!
So we spent the day in Toronto with James and Luke. Did the tourist thing and went up the CN tower. The views from above are amazing. (1,815ft) tall and the tallest freestanding building in the world. There is a glass floor that looks striaght down to the street. Tara was scared... so i pushed her onto it. ha, i am helping her get over her fears and grow as a peson. It overlooked Lake Ontario... did i mention that Lake Ontario is half the size of England.
We then spent some time in the hippy end of town, Kensington Market and went to a snowboarding show.
We have been spending time on service and getting to know a few in the congregation. It's amazing how at home you feel when you get to the meetings and ministry. Tara tried driving...surprisingly we didn't die. and I made pancakes... surprisingly we didn't die!
Saturday we experienced a Lester reunion and later went out into downtown Toronto for drinks. The English out numbered the Canadians at one point!
We've really enjoyed our stay and the next stop is New York, New York. We arrive at 6.15am and having a Bethel tour at 9.30! Caffine it up i think.
Will report from the Big Apple shortly.
Tune in next week.
Love Jem and Tara
