After 21 months of traveling ...and going strong I might add... my first visitor has arrived. One of my old college roommates and fraternity brothers, Tim, decided to shake things up this holiday season. Rather than be a creature of the common place and slave of the ordinary, he decided to spend 3 weeks of vacation backpacking around southern Peru with me. It will be a decision he won't regret.

So what to do first in Lima? Obviously we shared a beer together. And then many more followed. Yep, I introduced Tim to Lima nightlife. But how do you explain to someone that comes from a place where the bars shut down at 2 AM that we don't even go out til 2 AM here... and the discotecs get packed at 4 AM... and you usually come home when it's daylight. I guess you just have to see for yourself... and so we did.

After sightseeing and doing some touristy things around Lima, it was one final night out and we were off............
