Around the World Forever
Kathmandu, described as Asia's quirkiest city, also demonstrates one of the most unique driving strategies I ever experienced. I rented a motorbike for a day and was able to partake in this chaos first hand. What I found was that the people here tend to drive like... bats. I don't think they have their eyes open half the time and good vision is certainly not a prerequisite for good driving. Instead, everyone relies on a bat-like echo-location system where you honk at others and then they honk back at you and somehow everyone seems to know where everyone else is on the road, thus avoiding collision. The result is a continuous, chaotic, whale song of car horns and motorbike beeps with the occasional air horn from a bus blowing everyone out of the way. You must pay attention to your echo-location system for survival. But feel free to close your eyes for a short daydream now and then or to take in the touristy sights.
After two treks combined for over a month of walking, I need to eat, eat, and eat. I think my body cannibalized the top half to feed my legs. From here, I am heading back to India to explore the southern states, enjoy warm weather, and go to a beach. Thank you Himalayas for an amazing experience. But I want to see a palm tree again and swim in the sea.

Kevin Moore I`m almost getting tired of saying "Wow!" Well, almost. Glad to hear you are safe and well. You`re really missing out on the things that matter most... Romney won Nevada and the Giants edged New England in Superbowl... or so I`ve heard. Take care pal...k
