I decided to do an update as well as Jeff today as our 1st full day in Hanoi was so good. I will attach a health warning that the whole update is shopping & food related!! Great start to the day with Vietnamese brekkie - coffee made with condensed milk ( see photo for coffee action shot), noodles & fried fish lots of my fav things at one sitting. Into the city for my shopping itinerary for the day ( thanks to Luxe city guides) and the shops surpassed all expectations, fabulous silk scarves, purses, bags & gorgeous dresses. 15 mins in and I have ordered a made to measure dress for collection on Friday all for $25 and the day continued in similar vein - best shopping since Melbourne at 1/4 the price. Stopped only for white chocolate expresso, lunch of fried fish & noodles & Vietnamese coffee - sense a theme here. I love this city especially as we can now cross roads unaided even if I do still run a bit & keep my eyes closed. Tomorrow we head to Halong Bay.
