Hi Folks
Greetings from the equator! Not much longer on the road for you. As for me, it's back to the UK for a month in July and August.......looking forward to that game of scrabble (better make sure we have a good dictionary to hand!). Life here remains different - woken by an earthquake at 1 a.m. this morning. Only a 4.1 (yes rather insignificant to those of us who are experienced earthquakers).
See you in Devon soon. Enjoy the last few weeks.

Namaste, xiawu hao, konnichi wa and Bore da. Excellent new postcard. Glad you've enjoyed yourselves. A lack of references to The Refeshments and The Dead Kennedys though. Just had a very, very top weekend in Cornwall with T Guy Band. Die sonne scheint and the scenery was truly beautiful. Alas, the surf was pancake like but we managed to do some fine snorkelling, fine bodyboarding, fine beachbumming and fine b-b-qing. They are very good hosts. A wonderful weekend. The end.

Just spent a wonderful 3 days touring the Mekon Delta. Way more impressive than the much more famous North Kent Delta but it does not have the classic and thriving music scene to match. It was almost as humid as a Wild Billy Childish gig at the Klubfoot too. Anyway, the scenery was stunning as we cruised up and down many waterways towards Cambodia. The various water craft we took got more and more rickety with each day and the gang planks to and from each landing stage got more and more like the famouse mouse trap game. Crossing the border was a case of muddy paths and rickety gang planks on and off boats until we were finally chugging up the wide stretch of river to Phnom Phen. There were many temples to see along the rivers edge and water buffalo wallowing in the murky waters. It was great to get to our guest house at the end of a 12 hour day of travelling. We are now well into monsoon season and the afternoons cloud up heavily everyday. The rains when they do fall are furious and sudden, but are immediately followed by a cooler air that is so desperately needed.
Thanks for the latest messages. J Guy you are mad. Tell the Bragster we saw him in Sydney....... in the museum.

Glad to see you're both well. Vietnam seems extremely good fun and interesting. We're off to T Guy Band's this weekend. Hoping the weather holds so we can grab a little surf. Can't wait. Daisy and Winnie had a good time camping with N Guy Band last week. Top campsite and top new tent. Bigger than the house we're buying. Bryn and Rowan were on top form too. Ma has had her operation at last and I think is ok. Will investigate properly the week after next when we begin the Billy Bragg UK tour that includes Meltdown in London on 18th June, the Beaminster Festival with school kids galore on 1st July and the annual Tolpuddle shindig on 17th July. This is clearly getting beyond a joke. We shall be taking his dog for walks along the cliff before we know it. The Dorset countryside is in full bloom at the moment and is a very pleasant place to be. I could get into this ticking wild flowers lark. Just got to cure this colour blindness first. "Is that thrist over there on the cliff Jill?" "No, it's bloody yellow". "Is that white campion over there, Jill?" "No, it's bloody red!" "Is that a stone you threw at my head just now?" "Yes, and this is a whacking great rock". Went to Bridport Arts Centre last night for a very rare cinema treat and caught the very excellent Sideways which is very funny indeed. Trust me, it'll be right up your street so keep an eye out for it. If it's just hit Bridport now it should hit Hanoi imminently.A road movie about Pinot Noir grapes!

Hi guys, just browsed through your new pics to see what adventures you've been having, everything looks so majestic in China, the landscape is such a large scale! So motor bikes and stopping aren't your thing eh Janet? That is a fantastic story, keep me chuckling for a while I'm sure. Uni is about done for another semester for me, one to go and I'll have my degree....at last! then out into the world of work and not 5 months of holidays a year, not that you'd know much about that!!!! Have a broken hand at mo, but on the mend and will be back at it soon enough. look forward to seeing the next lot of pictures , take care you both, cheers, Pete.

Pete, life at work has been hectic for most of the time you have been away, both with PROW and the maintenance side, and I have to admit that I have not got around to personally checking in on the web site until now, although I have had a number of chats with Lawrence who has kept me up to date with your escapades. I have enjoyed looking through the pictures and messages , you have obviously been having a great time and I would guess that the break, to date, has come up to, or exceeded, your expectations. As Lawrence has indicated to you in his message, I am arranging for him to come back to work with us for the week that you are scheduled to return, in order that he has plenty of time to hand over and bring you fully up to speed on all things PROW. Anyway, are you able to confirm that you will be returning on the date that is in your letter, so that we are able to tie things up for definite with Lawrence ?
Sorry to bore you with things about work at this stage but, life goes on as they say, it's great to see you are both well and enjoying your adventure and hope to hear from you in the near future.
All the best Nick.
Peter And Janet
Just a big thanks to all the latest message writers, each and every one of you, we really apreciate it. Great to hear from you little Daisy. Lawrence i'll be in touch via email as i have lots to say. The weeks are counting down now and we are determined to make the most of what remains of our adventures, before we have to re-enter the real world. Thanks again and keep it coming. Love to you all xxxxx
