Pete and Janet Ok travel fans, here's a last message of thanks to ALL of you who have kept in touch over the last 11 months. There are 2 new postcards with more details. It feels like the time has flown and yet we have done so much that we also feel we have been away for a very long time. That is a strange mixed up feeling to have. This message board has been absolutely brilliant and far easier to access in the deepest darkest beyonds than email. It has been a wonderful thing to log on and see the list of messages awaiting us every time. So a great big thanks to all who used this board. We fly in 11 hours and can't wait to catch up with you all. That will be a little crazy too. Hope all is well, set the phasers on stun and we will be beaming down soon. We are all doing fine apart from a very badly sprained ankle i think it was an excuse to get out of surfing!!My work is mentel at the moment - finding it hard to book time off - but hey they coped without me for 6months. J Guy Band and the Ruby Hollerers Greetings from Rockaway Beach. Hope you are both well and relaxing before coming back down to Earth in a few weeks. How time flies. Doesn't seem a year ago that we dropped you off at the airport and sent you off into the big wide world to fend for yourselves. We're really pleased that you've had such an exciting time and seen so many different things. Particularly enjoyed the postcards that make our collection far more worldly wise than it was before. Hey, Winona ... very good indeed. Level 5! T Guy Band hits town (village) on Wednesday to help us move. Thursday is the big day. All of 200 yards up the road. However, we are all very excited. Everyone in the village seems to know we're moving before we do which is a little disconcerting but hey ho. The Billy Bragg Groupie tour continued last Friday when we hit Beaminster School with a vengeance to hear him sing with some of the kids. Interesting. Lots of heavy metal gothic Nirvanaesque thrashing with lyrics I couldn't decipher and a music teacher that could waffle for England but then he did a few songs by himself and it turned out to be quite an entertaining evening. Just Tolpuddle to go. Billy, Hank Wangford, Tony Benn and a lot of marching up and down the village street with banners. Marvellous. Ma is on the mend. Her hip is definitely improving and she seems a lot happier. Still in quite a lot of pain in other parts of the body that if you had a filtering system on your computer it would now propbably block the site so we won't go any further with that. Lastly, I'm taking 15 kids cycling round Somerset next week which should be fun. Most have never cycled more than about 2 miles and the bloke who was running it has dropped out and left me to carry the can. Most enjoyable. At least I should win most of the village sprints and come back with the yellow, green and Polka dot jerseys. Hurrah! Enjoy your last weeks. See you soon.

Winnie HI DADDY, I have been congratualated in my SATS results today, with scores being the highest! all of them were 5!!!!!! (Janet will understand.) Tomorrow we have a music concert, (I'm playing Summertime on sax, I think its a cool song) Slightly nervous. On Wednesday and Thursday, I have my tester day at SDCC - Teachers, subjects and P.E for a WHOLE day. (Not certain I can stand that yet.) Finished school swimming a couple of weeks ago. Sports Day next Tuesday. Then Bude trip the day after- lasting till Friday the 15th. And thats when you're coming back. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! See you soon. J and P At our end of the world, we have managed to time our arrival in a Thai tropical paradise with the arrival of the monsoonal rains. It has now been raining for 14 hours and shows no sign of stopping. And we am not refering to piddly Britisih drizzle! We have stuffed ourselves silly with food, read for hours, played Scrabble and "who am I?" and have now braved the rains (I have soggy knickers to prove it) in order to use the internet. Plans now are to wait out the rains and hopefully get the beach holiday we've been looking forward to for the last few weeks/months. If not then I have longer to shop in Bangkok!! Either way it's all good.
