Hi Janet and Pete
Loved looking at your photos - they bring back lots of happy memories. Phil and I particularly liked the one of Janet's face when Pete was flying the plane!
Hope you got my text message - rather lengthy as it was - regarding visas etc required for Cambodia etc. Seriously your best bet is to invest in the Lonely Planet for South East Asia for visiting those countries - it does make life a bit easier.
The Nullabor plain in a campervan eh! You get such an amazing impression of space and emptiness don't you. Really amazing for its nothingness factor. Make sure you see Margaret River and Albany etc - wonderful places.
I bet you can't believe how fast the time is going?! Thinking of you on your wonderful journey. Stay safe. Lots of Love Paula and Phil x
Pete
Hi Nikki, thanks for staying in touch. Glad the ski trip went well. Big Hi also to Cate, thank you for all your little well-wishes over the months. Hope you are ok. Remember:" Karate man only bruise on the inside." Back in Adelaide now and trying to organise the remaining months of our trip. Its a bit stressful as we are trying to find out/organise visas, flights, currency and routes for 4 countries. Most sources say different things. May have to accept the no plan approach and then we can make it up as we go along. Anyway, we set off to Perth on Monday in a campervan, crossing the Nullabor Plain. Hope to spend a night or 2 in the desert stargazing. Dingo city!!! Bye for now.xxx

Hey you 2! Wow just looked at the photos that benny boy has posted on your site. Isnt NZ the best? Sounds like you have managed to pack loads in without rushing past all the good bits. I cant believe that is 6 weeks over with already?! Bet it was fab spending time with Ben - have you managed to get hi, back to the land of the janners yet? Mark and Jen are planning it ASAP but marky needs a job first and Jen will go on supply. All mad this end as usual. Just got back from the ski trip-took 64 kids and 8 staff-great fun! Totally knackered now though as 23 hours on way back - in at 2 pm yesterday (sunday) and after a full teaching day with a year team meeting, followed by squash club and now a volleyball match at 9pm we are both ready to drop! (It was fab spending time with Alan, Nik and Andy. (we took Alan down a black on his 2nd day! And he loved it!) Missed you heaps Janet on the trip - cant wait for next year! Got heaps planned in the next few weeks-Ceiledh this Sat, off in the campervan for the next 3 weekends, with the bikes. Better sign off now as need to warm up. Miss ya xx

Ben, just read all your email messages but was unable to reply there so leaving a message here. Good to hear you spent even more time driving so you could cover more pages in the map book. Now i have warned you about that obsessive behaviour. Thanks for doing the photos, i've had a quick look but will sort through them in Oz. Hope the cricket was good. What a great last day in NZ. Stay in touch and i'll thrash you again at scrabble when we next meet up.
Pete
Nick: Thanks for getting while we are in Christchurch it makes it easy to reply. Glad all is well with you. Do you remember the first football boots we all had to use. I think they were about third hand when we got them!!! Great to hear Bryn is getting into the footie eh. Anything to keep them active and fit. Yeah great news about Winona too. We'll be back at Uncle Tony's again soon so i'll be in touch then. Great to hear from you. Christchurch is the most laid back city, its very pleasant indeed and very English. We have been walking on the banks of the Avon in the sunshine no less. Visited a great exhibit in the museum all about the great exploits of Shakleton, Scott, and Amundson in the Antartic, as they all left from here on their respective exploits. It was absolutely awe inspiring what these people endeavoured to do. Does the human race still have that pioneering spirit.????
Also been to the cinema twice, what a refreshing change. "Ruby and Quentin" was slapstick funny but last night we went to see "Million Dollar Baby." What a moving film that was. Gritty stuff. Most of the audience were stuck in their seats at the end, too emotional to move. Clint was absolutely brilliant and as double hard as ever but not in the old Dirty Harry way of course. Try and get to see it if you can. Should get some Oscars me thinks.
Ben, good to hear you got to Aukland, we're having trouble with the email, so maybe a while before we contact you that way. Good travels Buddy.
Lisa, thanks again for your regular updates on life back home. Janet is currently in the library trying to finish a book she picked up yesterday before we leave for our flight in 2 hours. She's barking.
Mel John and Baby A. Big Hi to you all. Hope you having fun on half term and have a great snow boarding hols. Be in touch again soon. Bye Bye from a lovely sunny Christchurch and New Zealand.xxx

Hello there, long time no message. Very poor on our part I must say. Good to hear that you had a great time in NZ, I've just seen the NZ pics and they look superb. It must make a bit of a change to see some snow and ice. There has not been much happening here over the last few weeks, it's all a bit dull really. Bryn is on half term, he has got his first pair of footie boots and he is so excited. He has been attending footie training over the half term, and is now completely exhausted. I think he's looking forward to school for a rest. Ro gets excited about all kinds of animals, so we took him to the zoo last month. He had a great time. We went down to Ma's a couple of weeks ago, and for a change it was quite relaxing. Bryn and I had a go at the RSPB garden bird count, I'm afraid to say that the ticks were not very forthcoming or exciting. We have been planting some veg in the garden last weekend, and the kids have been sowing some seeds and getting very muddy in the process. The chickens have started laying again and I think we're turning into Tom and Barbera.
A big hello from Pauline and the kids. Thats all for now bye
PS excellent news about Win eh she seemed so excited when we called. We're planning on seeing her sometime soon. Keep you posted on activities

Hi. Now on half term, although it is Thursday already! Going to Charlie and Joa's tonight which I am really looking forward to. Went to Tanners on Valentine's - a cool 140 pound! (Rob paid). It was lovely. Rob just bought a house - will e-mail you about it. Keep enjoying yourselves. Love Lisa xxx
