I grabbed breakfast at the store again before I set out to explore the city more. I didn't go anywhere in particular, but just rode the metro and buses around for a couple hours. Afterwards, I returned to the hostel to do something I've never done before. Laundry! When I got to the laundry mat, of course I couldn't read any of the signs so I had to ask some people passing by to translate. But now I can say I did laundry for the first time in Copenhagen! When I was done with that, I met Mia and Anne near a huge park in town. Mia found out that there was a bollywood dance going on so we walked through the park until we found this big group of people dancing along with an instructor. We joined right in with the group for a couple songs and some little kids performed a dance and then everyone joined in again. Bollywood dancing was definitely not something I was expecting to do in Copenhagen! But I had a great time. We decided to go grab a beer so we went to a cafe that Anne suggested. I ended up playing a game of foosball with some local guys and completely humiliating myself. I found one of the free city bikes and then we headed over to a little rock and roll bar that Mia likes and hung out for awhile. We were all starting to get hungry so we biked around until we found a kebab place and grabbed some food. After we talked for awhile it was time for me to say goodbye to my new friends! They biked back with me to my hostel and then we said a sad farewell. I've had so much fun with Mia and Anne and I hope that I'll get to see them again soon! When I got back to the hostel I was just checking my email when I got a text from Jenna saying congratulations. I immediately called her and she told me that I got accepted into University of Washington!!! I had just met these two Norwegian girls at the hostel and they decided we should ding-dong-ditch houses in the neighborhood. So I ended up running around with these crazy girls in the streets late at night, ringing doorbells and eating grapes we randomly snagged from the hostel and then watching the stars from the yard of a church nearby. We returned to the hostel at some early hour in the morning and passed out. Copenhagen has been great but tomorrow morning I'm bound for Berlin!
