Yesterday was EmmaÂ's birthday...as a super special treat we decided to check into a hotel.  There is only one 5 star hotel in La Paz, Hotel Europa and we knew it was way out of our price range.  We tried all the mid range hotels and they were really pricey so went to the Europa to make us even more miserable.  Well the guy on reception must have felt sorry for the 2 weary travellers before him... for absolute peanuts we have just spent the night in the Honeymoon Suite (ok we had to pretend we were just married!) Flowers in the room, champagne at 7, dinner in the room at 8 and breakfast whenever we woke up!  Coolest birthday.  They had white cotton sheets, toilet roll, hot water and it's the first time we have sat on a toilet seat in over a month!  This morning Emma did the laundry in the jacuzzie (like a giant washing machine and free) Jay has hit the Spa and Emma is on the free internet...you can take the girl away from travelling.......
