We have crossed the border (a chain across the road) into Bolivia. We have to pass through immigration and get permission to leave Peru and then enter Bolivia all quite quick and painless. First stop Copacabana. The picture for Bolivia on the site is of Copacabana beach in Brazil the beach was named after this town in Boliva and the real Copacabana looks nothing like the beach in Brazil! First glances Bolivia does not look too different, people are still obsessed with cleaning the sidewalks and think nothing of throwing trash out of the window but suddenly we notice a major difference....everyone is pissed! It appears to be a national hobby...get a group of you together get a few crates of beer and have a bloody good time, its awesome!!! We arrive on the final day of a fiesta and large groups or people have driven to the main Plaza, dressed in their finest, cars decorated with fabulous flowers and then proceed to get very drunk! We are staying in our first hotel!!! with amazing views of Lake Titicaca, at Copacabana you can rent pedalos in a kitch swan design or rent a sailing boat, no experience necessary just cash and a death wish , not unlike Margate really!  The fish is fantastic here, especially the trout and king fish fresh from the lake. Like Peru the cost of living for us is really cheap, even cheaper here in Bolivia so we are eating and drinking like lords more often than we probably should.  There is a real bohemian feel to this town and as it is small it is easy to feel at home very quickly.  We visited the Island of the Sun, where the Inca gods rose and created the sun and the moon (lucky for us). The island was beautiful and not unlike a Greek island at first glance. Lovely sunny weather until we get back to Copacabana, get caught in a massive storm (hailstones like golf balls) so had to take refuge in a bar and play dominoes. Leaving Copacabana tomorrow headed for La Paz.
