Another down wind sail, this is 13 days in a row. However we did have a bit of rain and a lot of rain overnight which was a complete shock to the system. Another scorching day, we went for a early morning walk to the village along the river and then did a few boat jobs before lunch. After lunch left for Concarneau, all of 5 miles away! After arriving walked around the old fortified chateau in the centre of town overlooking the marina and had a second go at epoxying the hatch. Hopefully we work better this time.

John left at 6:30am this morning. We then had a short sail to Port Le Foret. The wind was light but we sailed all day enjoying the sun all day and moored up in Port Le Foret. A short walk to the beach and a late afternoon swim helped call me down. The water was warm in the shallows but colder as I swam further out to sea. Unfortunately John managed to crack the companion way hatch before he left so used glue to fix it.

Another day of down wind sailing. We used the spinnaker all day with great success as it meant we did no motor in light winds like all the other yachts. The wind had been strong last night but by morning had gone away so most of the day spent motoring from Camaret to Saint Evette. The Raz de Sein which is a notorious piece of water was as flat as a pancake. The only incident was losing a cushion overboard which gave us a chance to practice our man overboard routine. As the day went on the sun got stronger and we enjoyed a walk along the beach and around the headland before a well deserved ice cream.
