Ok, so as usual, after looking at my photos I remember loads more that we have done that I had forgotten to actually mention!
We have done quite a few bush walks and coastal walks- which have been really good as NZ is really pretty and picturesque- plus its good to walk off all the beer! ;- )
We also do the Franz Joseph glacier walk which was awesome, a full 6 hour hike across a massive glacier- climbing up ice-steps, with the full gear on- crampons etc, so you dont slip on the ice. We also had to go through narrow ice valley things, and crawl/slide through an ice cave- (I fell over, and slid backwards!! haha!)
Umm... we have been to a geothermal hot pool and chilled in that- stayed in some great hostels and some not so great hostels, and had some cool fires to warm us up, cooked some good food- including cooking in a hangi thing, which cooks food underground!
