Yo Yo Yo!!!!

Sorry its been a while!!
Where to start..... had a great time island hopping in Fiji- I have a blog written on the laptop to post, once we get Wifi (am on a hostel PC at mo!!) so will post that when I can, but Fiji was great- although it did get a bit boring by the end- the islands are all so small and there is nothing to do!! Lots of lying on beaches in the sun and reading- sounds fun, but after a week or so, it gets boring, and I get restless. Met some really cool people though, and had a really good time, and drank a bit too!! ;- )

In New Zealand now. on the south island. New Zealand is really cool, very pretty and loads of big open landscapes. Doing a tour with Stray, and again, its really hectic!! generally move on every day around 8 in the morning, drive for a few hours, do various activities then go to the next hostel by early afternoon. So again, have had no time for internet. which is annoying cos I really wanna keep this blog going and keep letting the world know what we are up too! Plus I wanna get all the pics on here, and the longer I go not doing it, the more I know there is to do!
Anyway, this is the first time on our NZ trip that we have stayed somewhere more than one night, so its been a busy, tiring trip! Great fun though- met some great people on the bus- plenty of pics of them all to come soon- and seen some great places and done some cool things; we have bathed in a natural geothermal pool, cooked food in a Hangi, an underground thing where the natural heat cooks it.

Had some great walks/hikes and seen some great views and wonderful nature-y stuff.
Steve (my mate!) has joined is in Nz for 3 weeks, so its been good catching up too. Had a big bar crawl in Auckland with him, which started in an icebar, which was wicked!! had to wear big coats, and boots and gloves and stuff, it was -8 in there, and everything was made of ice, even the glasses! Really good!- no pics as we were not allowed to take pics in there (altho I took a few sneaky ones- will see how they came out!) Then went to a Russian bar (random!) and had vodka shots, then on to a really cool American bar!! There were free cowboy hats you could wear, and it was all done out like the wild west. We ate huuuuuge burgers- the size of the plate, and drank beer in litre glasses!! so cool!!
Then we got on the Stray bus the next day- and been loads of places with them!! went to Waitimo caves, with amazing glowworms! Lisa did Tumu Tumu tubing, which was going through rapids sat in a big innertube, inside a cave, doing blackwater rafting!! It sounded really fun, and she loved it.
I did a cave walk, which was cool too, but less adrenaline filled!
However, the next day, we went to Rotoura, and I did Whitewater rafting!! That was so awesome!!! I loved it!! (Altho was sh*tting myself beforehand!) we went over a 7m waterfall, the highest commercially rafted fall in the world!! It was soo good!! I Loved it!
Rotoura itself was cool too. We also did a cultural Maori experience, ate a traditional meal, did some dancing then all the guys learnt the Haka, and performed it for the girls, and the girls learnt a different dance and performed that. Was a lot of fun! Then the enitre bus (about 30 of us!) slept in one big hall, in matteresses on the floor! That was an experience!!
Having a great time tho. made some cool friends, and are both sleeping in dorms every night, Lisa in with the girls, and me with the guys- in a 10 bed dorm tonight (and last night) so full with 10 blokes! fun....
Lisa is in a little outside cabin, with one other girl. looks nice and cosy! Oh, and as I type this, Lisa and 2 others are taking baths outside and drinking wine- sounds great, except its raining!!!
I shoulda mentioned earlier- NZ is really wet and cold!! Bit of a change from Fiji!!
THe north island was cool, but the south is meant to be better, so more to come!! We have also been to Taupo, which was a cool place, got very drunk there tho!! Cant think of what else we have done, need to get pics on here soon tho, am so far behind with all the pics!!
