A long day in the car today to get through to Coober Pedy. We were on the road early as Kulgera was wet and we were all awake thanks to Tully! We stopped at Marla and Cadney Park and I even drove today to give Jarrod a break midway. Turned off to the Breakaways for our lunch stop about 20kms before Coober. This was a great outlook over the coloured hills into the distance. Arrived into Coober Pedy and set up camp. We held very low expectations here, having had average experiences on previous visits. The town is predominantly underground and continues to have little to offer unless you want to mine or buy opals. We were keen for neither but did remember we had a good Italian meal here last time so we headed back to John's for what was another good meal. Getting
