A stressful drive from Crystal Brook into Adelaide. The road was terrible and once close, traffic was busy. We stopped at Clare for morning tea, remembering a coffee shop we had been to on our last trip. We were in luck and found a decent coffee before pushing on. Arrived into Adelaide around lunch time and set up camp at the inner city Adelaide Caravan Park. This is a relatively small park but walking distance into the city which worked well for us. We headed into town for dinner to meet up with Aaron and Pennye and their two kids. Aaron was in the RAAF with Jarrod and we haven't seen them since days in Sydney so it was nice to catch up over some delicious Thai. Day two we walked into the city and caught the tram to Glenelg. The beach was great to see but it was bitterly cold standing on the sand in icy wind. We treated Tully to Macca's for lunch and headed back to the mall for some window shopping. We are all feeling excited to be so close to home. Even with time up our sleeves the weather is putting a dampener on our ability to do what we would like and the thought of a warm house after so long away sounds very inviting. So after originally thinking we would spend another week or so around this area, we think after another night we will be home. Sad to think it's all over but excited to see family and our beautiful home. And this picture of Tully is him loving the puddles after last nights rain. His new gumboots are a hit. So the holiday ends as it began. We bought Tully new gumboots week 1 in Barham after a huge downpour of rain. He hasn't needed them during the rest of the trip but of course when he needed them they no longer fit. So we found new ones in Clare and he's sorted again. Have a feeling he will need them at home too!
