Today we got up early so we could say the final goodbye to our group. They were continuing for another 5 weeks, finishing in Kigali, Rwanda. As we walked away, really on our own now, we felt a little bit jealous, but also pretty excited to be heading onto Mauritius for some luxury. Today we started our overland tour. After a brief meeting of our group last night we reconvened after brekkie today and packed the bright orange truck! Where to begin...... Today was a big day beginning at 8am, we were picked up for a full day tour of the Peninsula, heading all the way to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Feeling a million dollars after a good night sleep, we were ready to hit the town! After filling up at the buffet brekkie, we decided the best way to get an overview of Cape Town was via the hop on hop off double decker bus. This took us through the town and then up to Table Mountain to see the city from a different perspective. From up there you really can appreciate why the city is know as the city bowl as the mountains surround the city. From here we headed...

We made it to Cape Town, tired but all well. After making it to our Hotel we had a quick power nap then headed out to see the sights. We walked through the city over to the waterfront which is made up of heaps of restaurants and a big shopping complex. Beautiful scenery and great people watching! Wandered back hot and bothered, temp was about 27 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! Looking forward to some dinner and a long sleep tonight!
